Hemos estado muy agustito en casa de Toñy. La casita está en medio del campo donde puedes ver cabras, vacas, caballos, y un gatito y unos perritos super cariñosos. La casa está muy limpia, el sofá y la cama son muy cómodos, tiene todo lo que puedas necesitar. Muy bien ubicada para hacer infinidad de rutas de senderismo preciosas, o visitar la costa. Tony es muy amable, y muy buena gente.Si regresarnos por la zona repetiremos seguro.

La casa está recién reformada, maravillosamente equipada y los dueños una pareja encantadora, personas estupendas de esas que no es fácil encontrar. El lugar donde se encuentra es espectacular para desconectar y relajarse. Un 10 a todo!

Excelente opción de alojamiento. Tal como se indica en la descripción y fotos: amplia cocina/comedor bien equipada, baño grande y habitación espaciosa con cama muy cómoda. Buena ubicación para excusiones por la zona: a media distancia de Santiago, Coruña, Lugo. Pueblo cercano con lo indispensable. Posibilidad de desplazamiento en tren (aunque muy pocas combinaciones). El anfitrión muy amable y pendiente de cualquier necesidad. Comunicación con él muy rápida. Totalmente recomendable.

Inmejorable, desde el segundo uno en el que pisamos el terreno todo ha sido maravilloso; desde las vistas, la casa, la impecable limpieza, muebles, utensilios... no le falta detalle. Tony es encantador y resuelve cualquier duda al respecto de la zona o de cualquier cosa, siempre disponible. Sin duda la mejor casa en la que he estado tanto rural como de ciudad. Acabamos de llegar de estar unos días en la casa de Tony y estamos encantados, la casa preciosa, decorada con detalles de Navidad, cosa que nos encanto, todo impecable, limpio y con todo lo necesario para estar unos días, el y su mujer muy agradables y accesibles, nos transmitieron confianza desde el primer momento. La casa es muy acogedora y cómoda. Son días fríos y gracias a la chimenea de leña y calefacción en el salón y baño se está genial. La leña nos la facilito el por un precio de tan solo 3 euros, suficiente para todos los días y aun nos sobró. El entorno es suuuuper tranquilo, no te enteras de nada, tranquilidad absoluta, lo que buscábamos. Cerca hay muchos caminos para perderse y Tony nos recomendó un par de sitios preciosos que fuimos a visitar. Uno de los días estuve de cumple y tuvo el detalle de acercarse a la casa a felicitarme, cosa que agradeci. En la TV hay un disco duro con un montón de películas para todos los gustos, además de cartas, dominó y algún puzzle, para entretenerse. En la cocina hay de todo lo necesario, todo nuevo y limpio. El baño es muy grande y con una bañera también muy grande. En resumen, una casa preciosa, con muchos detalles, pequeña y acogedora, tranquila y en un lugar encantador, con unos anfitriones igualmente encantadores. Seguro que volveremos. Un accueil parfait et ponctuel. Tony est fort sympathique et efficace. Il prend le temps de tout bien expliquer et répond à toutes les questions. La maison est très propre et fonctionnelle. Le cadre est calme et apaisant.

Tony was a very helpful and friendly host. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped, including the English TV programmes. Its location was ideal for us - a quiet rural settiing but less than an hour away from all the major cities we wanted to visit. We hope to return soon.

“We stayed in this cottage after we had walked a number of stages of the Camino-pilgrimage. The cottage is surrounded by nature, kept in a excellent state and most of all, extremely tidy and clean. We had to change our plans a bit, due to bad weather. Tony has been so friendly to share his ideas about day-trips in the area and proved himself to be an excellent host. Wir, 2 Eltern und ein Kind unter zwei Jahre, haben dieses ruhig gelegene Haus als Basis für unsere Ausflüge / Wanderungen genutzt. Ein Auto ist hier notwendig.

Das Haus selbst ist sehr gepflegt und von der Einrichtung hat es an nichts gefehlt.

Tony und seine Frau kümmern sich liebevoll um die beiden Steinhäuser und ihre Gäste. Immer ansprechbar aber niemals aufdringlich. Kurzes Beispiel. Gerade ist eben ausnahmsweise der router zum Internet ausgefallen, habe tony um sieben Uhr morgens eine Mail geschrieben, 10 Minuten später stand er da und hat das Problem behoben. Sehr zufrieden mit dem Gesamtpaket.

Great place, the house is in a good location for a base discovering the north coast and A Coruna. The accommodation has all necessary amenities, and it is a charming and comfortable combination of a traditional rural cottage and modern appliances.

One of our best AirBnb experiences ever. Tom and Sue are amazing hosts – they think about each and every detail, they really care about their guests, each part of the house is 100% functional – if it’s air heater – it’s the most efficient one, creating necessary temperature in the house in minutes, bathroom is spacious and there’s enough water for the guests (it’s pretty usual that hosts put small water heaters in the house in order to minimize electricity bills – it’s not that case). This house is equipped exactly as if the owners will live there themselves – each and every day. And it’s very important that the owners are very clever and experienced people – they do not only intend to do the house functional, they really were able to do it. Important to note - the house is unbelievably CLEAN and cozy. It’s hard to describe – just see it yourself. You will be surprised by the cleanliness of the whole house – it’s not just clean, it’s simply ideal. Functionality – bed is simply ideal – great mattress, great bed linen (sooo cosy!), even heating blanket is suggested (and will be heating the bed before you come)! Kitchen is fully equipped (we’ve cooked a lot and didn’t face any lack of equipment or dishes). Big bath, enough water (working without any problems, which is usually a problem in lots of houses). Even DVD on 4 languages (Spanish, English, French and German) for the evenings when you want to stay at home. We rarely watch TV but this time we were happy to watch some famous cinemas with a fireplace view. I just can’t say what can be done better in this house – first time in my life (even though I’m professional in hotel management business, BTW). I can’t resist from mentioning the small neighbours – 2 dogs and smaaaaall kitten (just born). They’re AMAZING! You will love them. A wonderful black girl Rosi will come for hugs (she loves them!) – please share some wonderful food with her! You’ll love her! Small red dog is cuty-cute. And kitten is… you know – it’s hard to describe your mimimi impression on the 1-month (as max) kitten. Adorable! Aaaand – here comes the most important: they are and the whole house and place are: 100% QUIET. Friendly speaking, it made me a bit nervous about this house choice. I used to stay in another house in Galicia which is bigger and located away from other houses, without neighbours. This time it was unavailable and choosing this house for our stay I HAD 3 concerns: quietness (as it’s located in a village and we’re very noises-sensitive people), that it can be too small for us and that it can be cold in it during this season. All 3 concerns are away now. As for the noises – there’re NO NOISES at all. Yes, meaning no noises at all. You lay in a bed at night and try to hear anything – but no, there NO noises, as mentioned in one of previous guests’s reviews. As for the volume of the house – there’s plenty of space inside. Plenty! And you feel yourself as in a palace! As for the temperature inside – never mind! Tom thought about it, providing heating in each and every room. And it works ideally (and VERY fast – one of the heaters starts working in 1 second).
And our huge thanks to the hosts – Tom and Sue. You’re great and very talented people with big hearts. Thank you for sharing this wonderful house in our beloved Galicia with us. Muchisimas gracias!"

This was our first visit to Galicia. We wanted to stay somewhere traditional and within reach of the main towns and coastlines. This place absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived we felt at home, thanks to Tony and Sue for being such lovely hosts. The cottage is one of two on the same site which have been totally renovated to a very high standard. Everything is provided, the bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is modern. We loved the paintings, done by Tony, which show traditional Galician scenes and give even more character to the interior. The classic TV programs provided on a hard drive were much appreciated too when the Galicia got some much needed rain! We totally recommend this cottage for those seeking to explore this scenic corner of Spain. We will be back!

wir haben 2 sehr schöne Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Steinhaus verbracht.Das Haut ist sehr schön ,super sauber, stilvoll rustikal eingerichtet. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet,das Bett ist gut,eine richtige gute Decke,schöne Bettwäsche, Hand und Duschtücher sind genügend da,nach einer Woche wurde die Bettwäsche und alle Hand,. Dusch und Küchentücher gewechselt,sogar Spüllappen und Putzschwamm, die Wohnung wurde geputzt,so einen Service hatten wir noch nie.Tony und Sue sind sehr nette Gastgeber,zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Wein und Brot und Ausflug- Tips.Auch an kühleren Tagen kann man es gut aushalten,das Haus lässt sich sehr gut heizen und wenn die Sonne scheint kann man wunderbar vor dem Haus sitzen,Natur und Ruhe pur.Wir haben schon viele Ferienhäuser gebucht,aber dieses war mit Abstand das Beste

Hemos pasado 5 noches muy agusto en esta casa. Limpia, cómoda y con todo lo necesario. Toni nos recibió con un detalle de bienvenida que nos agradó. El alojamiento se encuentra a cinco minutos de Curtis en coche y allí se encuentra todo lo necesario. El lugar a distancia razonable (Galicia es muy extensa) de zonas como el parque de las Fragas del río Eume y también de A Coruña, Santiago o Lugo. Para repetir sin dudar si se quiere recorrer esas zonas.

La propiedad está perfectamente equipada tanto de mobiliario como de electrodomésticos; limpia y cuidada.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Tony empfangen. Wir haben uns die Woche auf dem Lande sehr wohl gefühlt. Vom Standort aus waren Santiago, A Curunja und die Küste mit dem Auto unter 60min zu erreichen. Es waren bezogene Bettdecken nach "deutschen" Standard vorhanden, nicht wie Spanien üblich nur Decke und Laken. Eine rundum gelungene Urlaubswoche.

Tony and Sue are terrific hosts! You can pleasantly lose track of time chatting with both about life in Galicia--rural, urban, wet or dry years, the ferias (a farmer's market, pulperia, and agricultural show-in-one) and the amazing villagers who attend them. We more than enjoyed our stay in Tony and Sue's lovingly restored Esencia cottage in Curtis--truly a memorable experience. Tony greeted us at an agreed-upon time, handed us the keys, and showed us how the cottage functions. The cottage itself exceeded our expectations. Clean and comfortable and fully equipped to cook a meal, like a fabada which we enjoyed on the second day of our stay. In town, you will find three grocery stores, meat shops, and artisan bread stores, to keep the fridge and pantry in stock. The cottage is equipped with at least one day's supply of bathroom tissue, paper towels, kitchen soap--you won't have trouble finding needed supplies in town. Give yourself plenty of time to walk the country roads (and allow yourself to get lost--literally or figuratively--for a couple of hours) that cut through little pockets of oak forest, hay fields, and running creeks. Esencia cottage is restful and quiet in a rural setting. From time to time you'll hear a tractor roll by (the cottage is away from the road and tall evergreen hedges provide privacy); but all day long you will hear birds (not enough to keep you awake at night). If you decide to stay indoors because of rain or fog, you can listen to the birds sing in the rain or watch TV (if you must!). Tony and Sue cleaned the cottage one week into our 14-night stay--cleaning with attention to details, not just a bed sheet and towel exchange. Every-ready to meet your needs, Tony and Sue work with great care to make your stay in Esencia and in Curtis truly memorable and remarkable. We cannot think of anything we disliked about Esencia...except that we couldn't stay longer.

La casa es una maravilla, pues no le falta de nada. Limpísima con una cocina muy completa y además la tranquilidad es absoluta. No hay ruidos de ningún tipo. La zona es estupenda con muchísimas cosas de interés alrededor. Recomiendo las fervenzas da Rexidoira (hermosísimas cascadas), el impresionante Monasterio de Sobrado, la iglesia románica de Santa María de Mezonzo (en Vilasantar), el dolmen da Pena da Moura (Toques). También está a un paso Betanzos, para mí la ciudad con más arte de Galicia tras Santiago. El anfitrión, Tony, inmejorable, amable, muy flexible con los horarios de entrada y salida y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Ha sido el mejor sitio en el que he hospedado con airbnb y llevo ya unos cuantos.

Nous avons passé 15 jours chez Tony. Location très propre, très bien entretenue, draps, serviettes changés régulièrement. Parfaite pour 4 personnes avec pour chaque couple sa salle de bains et toilettes.
La location est calme à la campagne, idéalement située pour découvrir toute la Galice.
Un accueil des plus chaleureux (œufs et pain frais), des propriétaires adorables et prévenants.
Séjour parfait dans ce petit coin de paradis nous y retournerons avec plaisir!!

It was a wonderful experience, to be in the middle of Galicia and in a true little village. The house is great, very well equipped and comfortable. A great place to be every month of the year, because the house has a great terrace with barbecue and is in a quiet and peaceful village, where one can see thousands of stars at night and hear the true sound of silence. We loved our little neighbors: three gentle and joyful dogs, little kitten and two fatty rabbits! At the same time, we're close to every great city like Santiago Compostela, Lugo, Coroña.. And delicious seafood! In a word... Wonderful! Thank you Tony!

Tony aconsellounos en todo momento sobre que visitar e estuvo atento ás nosas necesidades en todo momento. A casa está equipadísima (micro, forno, tostadora, quentador simulando cheminea...) e a zona resulta ideal, contando cunhas fervenzas dignas de ver. Repetiremos sen dúbida.

The location is superb as you can strike out in any direction an find something to see or do - lovely countryside, great beaches and historic towns. The cottage was spotless, warm and very well equipped. The owners did everything to be helpful but not intrusive. The vast collection of films was enough to keep us entertained for 3 weeks! Shops and restaurants were easy to find locally. There were many places to visit within an hour's drive.

Situated in a very rural setting it is in an ideal position if you want peace and quiet.The owners Tony and Sue are very welcoming and helpful.Being equidistant from Lugo,A Coruna and Santiago de Compostela,all are within an easy one hour drive,the cottage is ideally situated for sightseeing.The property is extremely well appointed and surprisingly spacious.Curtis, 2 miles down the road has 3 medium sized supermarkets and a number of small bars and cafes.Of particular mention is the station which only has two passenger trains per day,but where it is possible to enjoy your morning coffee in the sun with 2 small pieces of tortilla for 1 Euro per person.

La ubicación es excelente. Si desea relajarse con la familia o pareja, esta casa rústica esta en un entorno tranquilo. Los propietarios son muy atentos. Su ubicación le permitirá descubrir toda Galicia.

En general todo muy bien, la casa súper completa. No falta detalle en la cocina. El anfitrión un encanto. Recomendable si quiere perderte y desconectar.

Un très bon séjour dans cette maison rustique, Typique à Curtis en Galice.
La maison est très bien équipée pour pouvoir cuisiner de bon petit plats,
elle est très bien agencée et l'espace de vie ainsi que les chambres sont bien spacieuses.
Au niveau de la propreté aussi super, la maison et le linge (draps de lits/serviettes de toilette) nickel. Bonne Connexion wifi important avec des adolescents.
Le village est tranquille, en pleine nature et il est idéalement située pour visiter et découvrir La Galice (La Corogne, St Jacques de Compostelle, Vigo, San Andres, Lugo, ...).
L'accueil chaleureux et souriant de Tony et son épouse, nous avons eu droit à des œufs frais et du pain à notre arrivée.
Bref formidable, un vraie savoir vivre.

The cottage was absolutely fantastic - the perfect retreat with all creature comforts including an external hard-drive with movies and Wi-Fi. There was no fault with the accommodation or the very kind host (Tony) who catered for our delayed arrival. Our holiday was lucky to coincide with an annual traditional market at the local village which was fantastic and the location was brilliant for visiting local beaches and the nearby cities. The cottage is extremely clean, equipped with everything and Tony is more than happy to help with everything. We were also welcomed with bread and eggs! Absolutely delightful!

“My wife and I had a wonderful time staying in Curtis in Tony's cottage. It is an old stone building that has been beautifully renovated and feels cosy and homely. It had the most well equipped kitchen of all our accommodation in Spain (perhaps only a Brit can fully appreciate the welcoming sight of a kettle when travelling abroad!) and Tony and Sue were so helpful in showing us how everything worked, etc (Tony has fluent English so don't worry if you don't speak Spanish). They also left us some fruit and some eggs from their own hens which was a lovely and unexpected touch (the eggs were delicious!). The location of the cottage is in a very beautiful part of Galicia. We had glorious sunshine for the duration of our visit and the surrounding countryside is outstandingly beautiful. I'd seriously recommend taking a walk in pretty much any direction and you will be thrilled by the variety and interest of the landscape. There is ample parking and the cottage is easy to find if you have the co-ordinates and either GPS/satnav or a decent map. We're already planning our return journey. Can't wait!”

Ha sido una estancia maravillosa, Tony ha estado muy atento desde la llegada. Además tuvo un detalle increíble dejándonos huevos de corral y pan!! La casa es perfecta, tiene todo lo necesario para disfrutar de unos días, poder cocinar y estar a gusto. Está a pocos minutos de Curtis, con una carretera sencilla. Sin duda, repetiría estancia.

Tony y su mujer estuvieron muy atentos de nosotros en todo momento, tuvieron un detallazo, dándonos huevos de sus gallinas y pan del pueblo, ambos riquísimos. La misma noche nos hicimos una tortilla de patata. La casa es fantástica para 2 personas, teníamos todo tipo de comodidades, cafetera, tostadora, horno, vitrocerámica, TV plana e incluso un disco duro con muchísimas películas para todos los gustos!!! La casa está rodeada de naturaleza, muy bien conectada con carreteras que te llevarán a los pueblos cercanos. Cerca hay tan solo 2 casas y sus habitantes son muy amables. Además tuvimos la suerte de ver algunos animales de la zona. Pudimos disfrutar de la estufa de leña, gracias a que Tony nos facilitó los troncos. En la casa se nota frío, pero una vez se caldea gracias a la estufa y calefactores, se está genial. La cama es muy cómoda y calentita. Sin duda alguna, vamos a a repetir esta experiencia. ¡Un 10 en todo!

La casa es perfecta para conocer gran parte de Galicia. Está a un paso de La Coruña, Lugo y Santiago. Lugar idílico para descansar y relajarse. Tony es encantador. Todo muy limpio. La casa es muy bonita, con todo tipo de detalles, y nueva. Sin duda alguna, totalmente recomendable.

I had a lovely peaceful week at the cottage, which was well equipped and in a quiet rural location. Tony and his wife were very welcoming and left me with provisions so that I did not go hungry on my first morning after I arrived late at night. Thanks to you both for a pleasant stay.
